Half the month of June had us back home in California visiting my parents.
It was nice.
I was, however, determined to fit everything I needed, for a month, mid May to Mid June, into a tiny suitcase.
And I succeeded in that endeavor!
I practically lived in flip flops and high-waisted shorts. I basically just switched up tops with seven pairs of bottoms and threw a cardigan or kimono over the get-up for a different look.
Below are just some of the thrifted items I wore around town;
Proving once again that we don’t need to spend tons of cash to wear the styles we love.
I hope you can get some inspiration from these looks.
I thrifted this Gray tank and cardigan for $1.50 each!
I lived in this cardigan all month long
The best buck fifty ever spent
Three of my favorite thrifted finds are these cute cut out booties, yellow printed scarf and my Nirvana tee. I cut up this men’s size large tee to make a fun tank, and tucked it into this black skater skirt I purchased in LA’s garment district for $8.
These highwaisted shorts are so comfortable and versatile. The top is from Papaya but it’s so old you would only be able to find it at a thrift store.
This ILoveH81 dress, is another one of my thrifted finds. I purchased it at the Thrift Trader in San Diego for $7.50
I love, love, love this dress. It looks so put together but it’s extremely comfy.
Paired with some platform heals and a fringed crossbody, it gives it a bit of a dressed up boho vibe.
The solid blue of the dress is shear material that hits the shoulders and the top of the back. I wear a bralette with it as it adds an interesting design on the back.
And of course we need jewelry!
These are my DIY Abalone shell necklace that I wore nearly everyday. My dad and I made these necklaces out of a broken abalone shell.
Aren’t they gorgeous!
